Living in the country is a whole different ball game. The first night we slept without blinds on the windows and I slept like a baby. I still don't have blinds up in my living room...this would bother me in the city. The dogs run around and have all of the freedom they want while we are at home. When we leave, we lock them up in the horse pin, ha ha! They love it! We burn our trash now...never thought I would say that but it's pretty cool. I love how it disappears so fast! We had to cancel Tivo...the dish DVR is just not the same. We have a home phone...never thought we would have one of those either. We had to switch cell phone providers because there are no bars out here. Thank you Sprint! I own an orange blackberry now...trying to get used to it. I miss my blackjack. I finally joined the world of the internet on my cell phone...still trying to figure that one out too. We finally have internet!!! It's called Wild Blue as you can imagine and it's actually not near as bad as I thought it would be. I saw the biggest fly I have ever seen, didn't know God made them that big!
I have been working in my classroom and trying to get ready for 16 kindergarten kiddos. It's coming along well...just overwhelming. I think it will go okay, just a little nervous!
I'll leave you with a story about Sam and the second close call with the sheep...
It was 9:30am and I was showing my mom the barn area and didn't think to keep the dogs out of the sheep/goat pin. The animals were at the complete other end of the pin (about 1/2 mile away). O no...those dogs took off running and decided to be sheep dogs. They were seperating one from the herd and were being mean to it. At one point, Sams teeth were around one's neck. It was so sad, I yelled for them to stop...they wouldn't! I ran atleast a mile after these dang dogs. I had to get my mom to go get Jon out of bed (he got home late from work, like 3am). Long story short...I rounded up the dogs and disciplined them. By this time they were so exhausted they wouldn't move. Jon had to get the truck and come pick them up. Needless to say...they were grounded to the horse pin the rest of the day. I was sooo mad, I just knew they were going to kill one of those sheep. I think I left some funny parts out...I could have made this a whole lot longer!
